High turnout of 59% at 5pm in the French legislative election
There has been an unusually high turn out at polling stations as French voters cast their ballots in the first round of parliamentary elections. At 5:00 PM, it stood at 59.39%, nearly 20 points higher than the 2022 legislative elections. This suggests turn out could reach nearly 70% by 8:00 PM when voting ends. Results are already coming in from France's overseas territories. In Guadalupe, Martinique and French Guyana.
