Airtel vs Jio: Postpaid 5G plans comparison after latest price hike
Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two of India's leading telecom providers, have both revised their postpaid plans, resulting in notable price increases. Here's a side-by-side comparison of their updated offerings.
It is also important to remember that only Airtel and Jio offer 5G connectivity to Indian users at the time. The prices from both companies will be applicable from July 3.
Airtel's Revised Postpaid Plans:
₹449 Plan: Now costs ₹449, up from ₹399. It includes 40GB of data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, and an Xstream Premium subscription.
₹549 Plan: Increased to ₹549 from ₹499. Offers 75GB data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, a 12-month Disney+ Hotstar subscription, and a six-month Amazon Prime subscription.
₹699 Plan: Family plan for two connections, now ₹699, up from ₹599. It includes 105GB data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, 12-month Disney+ Hotstar, six-month Amazon Prime, and Wynk Premium.
₹1,199 Plan: Family plan for four connections, increased to ₹1,199 from ₹999. It offers 190GB data with rollover, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, 12-month Disney+ Hotstar, six-month Amazon Prime, and Wynk Premium.
Jio’s Revised Postpaid Plans:
₹349 Plan: Offers 30GB data per billing cycle, up from ₹299. Includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
₹449 Plan: Increased to ₹449 from ₹399. Provides 75GB of data per billing cycle, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS/day.
₹699 Plan: Family plan with 100GB data, includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
₹1,499 Plan: Family plan with 300GB data, includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day.
