‘Next man up’ in Democrats is Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama
Comedian Alex Stein says the “next man up” in the Democrats is California Governor Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama.
The first debate between US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump was held last week.
“The sad reality is the next man up is either Gavin Newsom, maybe Michelle Obama, so there’s not a lot of good candidates out there anyway on the left,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“They may think this is their best shot to win because the other politicians that are in line for this candidacy … are probably not going to win against Donald Trump.”
