Cowboys player did not hold back from criticizing Micah Parsons

The Dallas Cowboys have several key players who will be looking for new contracts in the near future including quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, guard Zack Martin, and linebacker Micah Parsons. But Cowboys safety Malik Hooker seems to think that Micah Parsons is the least deserving of a new contract right now.

During a recent appearance on “All Facts No Brakes” with Keyshawn Johnson, Cowboys safety Malik Hooker was asked which player should be prioritized the most when it comes to a contract extension. Hooker did not hold back at all in giving his true feelings as he chose Micah Parsons last of the four players saying that Parsons “still has a lot to prove.”

“Micah still has a lot to prove. He has done a great job his first couple of years in the league. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a fantastic player, [but] I feel like Micah still has a surface that he [doesn’t] even know that he can scratch as far as what he’s doing. I would say Micah’s last, just for that reason,” Hooker said on the podcast according to The Spun.

This is not the only harsh message that Hooker had for Parsons, either. He also seemed to take a shot at Parsons’ commitment to the team by criticizing his dedication to his weekly podcast.

“My advice for Micah would be just make sure we’re all right,” Hooker said. “Because if we’re at work and the run game’s terrible, but you’re doing a podcast every week and you know the run game is terrible, then what are you really caring about? Are you caring about the crowd that was watching the podcast or are you caring about the success of our team and the Super Bowl that we’re trying to reach?”

Needless to say, Parsons was not too happy when he heard these comments.
