The Manning Passing Academy took place this week at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
It featured many of the nation's top quarterbacks ahead of the 2024 college football season, including Texas' Quinn Ewers, Georgia's Carson Beck and Alabama's Jalen Milroe among others.
Cooper Manning, brother of Peyton and Eli and father of Texas quarterback Arch Manning, spent time with the media throughout the multi-day event. He offered high praise for Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian.
"Sark has a wonderful track record, he's one of the top offensive minds doing it in pro and/or college football," Cooper said. "He's surrounded himself with a great staff and he's hard on these guys."
He also touched on the strong relationship that Sarkisian and Arch have developed over the last few years. "Sark's been great, he and Arch have a great relationship and they got a good team and I think everyone can see Texas is coming to the SEC at the right time."
Arch is expected to backup starting quarterback Quinn Ewers in 2024 but is more than capable of carrying the load if his number is called for any reason.
