Halle Bailey Embraces Backless Silhouette in Avellano Dress With Flowing Train on the BET Awards 2024 Red Carpet
Halle Bailey brought dramatic flair to the 2024 BET Awards red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday. "The Little Mermaid" star, who is nominated for two honors at the event, made a splash in a monochrome look with glossy fabric.
Bailey fashioned a backless dress courtesy of Avellano's fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection for the 2024 BET Awards. The sleeveless, floor-length dress featured a glossy fabric and halter-style finish with a high neckline. The fabric of Bailey's gown created a glossy effect. Bailey's dress included a long train that cascaded behind her.

The actress and singer added a touch of sparkle to her look, accessorizing with the Solanales Crystal Chained Spear Earring by Alexis Bittar. As for the rest of her glam, Bailey opted to wear her voluminous hair in tight waves, which cascaded down her back. She opted for a natural, clean makeup look, including a neutral shade for her lip.
"I love this look tonight, it's very cool and slinky," Bailey told WWD via email. The "In Your Hands" singer "was going for an effortlessly sexy look" for the 2024 BET Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress and for the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/ Inspirational Award.

Bailey told WWD that she "wanted to wear something that makes me feel great in my own skin, especially in this new phase of my life." Bailey welcomed her first child with partner DDG, a son named Halo, in 2023.
The BET Awards celebrate achievements in entertainment, honoring excellence in music, sports, television and movies. Taraji P. Henson will host the 2024 event, which will feature performances by Ice Spice, Tyla, GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Victoria Monét and more.
