Wyatt Johnston Matches Wayne Gretzky Record
EDMONTON -- Playoff hockey is some of the best, most exciting hockey played during the season.
Edmonton Oilers fans know that very well - but they aren't the only fans getting to enjoy themselves. The Dallas Stars and their fans are enjoying an incredible run from their group.
After dispatching the Vegas Golden Knights in seven games, they now find themselves in a position to eliminate the Colorado Avalanche. Last night they beat the Avalanche by a 5-1 score - with an incredibly talented young player scoring twice in the victory.

Wyatt Johnston played an incredible game for the Stars. The now 21-year-old (today is his birthday) forward scored twice, recorded one assist, and registered eight shots on goal in 20:39 of ice time.
On Twitter, Taylor Baird brought up a record that Johnston now shares with Wayne Gretzky during the ESPN Broadcast. Two players have now recorded a power play goal and short handed goal in a playoff game before the age of 21: Gretzky and Johnston.
That's an incredible feat for any player. Scoring short handed goals is not easy - given the very nature of the team being short a player on the ice. This shows Johnston's incredible talent, and his value to the Stars team.
Johnston now has 11 points in 11 playoff games this post season - while averaging 20:08 a night. He's already surpassed his playoff totals from last year, where he only recorded six points in 19 post season games.
He's an incredible player - who appears to be thriving in the high pressure environment of the NHL playoffs.
