Yoko Taro: “Stellar Blade er meget bedre end Nier: Automata”
Det er ret tydeligt, at Stellar Blade er inspireret af både Nier: Automata og Bayonetta og IGN Japan havde da også samlet game director på Nier serien Yoko Taro og game director på Stellar Blade Kim Hyung-tae i samme rum til en snak om deres respektive spil.
Taro sagde, at han altid har været fan af Hyung-tae’s Magna Carta spil og tilføjede:
Stellar Blade is such an amazing game, I think it’s much better than Nier: Automata.
Da han blev bedt om at uddybe, siger han, at Stellar Blades grafik “have reached a completely new generation of quality” og at han var misundelig og “it shows that you have your own company and are working with like-minded people”.
I sædvanlig god stil, kom der ros den anden vej fra Hyung-tae, da han siger at han føler at Nier: Automata er et bedre spil:
The more we talk about it, the more I feel like Stellar Blade can’t compete. I consider myself a visualist, not a storyteller. I’ve been creating visuals all my life, so I can’t quite match Yoko Taro when it comes to storytelling. I try to make up for this with gameplay.
Stellar Blade kommer til PlayStation 5 den 26. april.
