Xiaomi 12S Ultra with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, Leica-Tuned Cameras Launched: Price, Specifications

Xiaomi has launched the 12S series in China. The company has launched three new flagship smartphones as part of its flagship series. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the most premium offering among the three smartphones launched today. It comes with Leica-tuned camera sensors on the back.

The Xiaomi 12S series also features the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and an AMOLED 120Hz display. Xiaomi might launch its Ultra model later this year in India. There is no word on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra India launch date at the moment. While we wait for that, let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 12S Ultra price, specifications and other details.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra Price

Xiaomi 12S Ultra has been launched in China as the new ultra-premium smartphone. It comes in three storage options in China. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is priced at CNY 5999 (roughly Rs 70,700). The 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 6499 (roughly Rs 76,600). Lastly, the 12GB + 512GB storage option is priced at CNY 6999 (roughly Rs 82,500). The 12S Ultra comes in Black and Green colours.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra Specifications 

The new ultra-premium smartphone from Xiaomi sports a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. The 12-bit curved display has a 120Hz refresh rate support. With the help of LTPO technology, the phone refreshes from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the on-screen content.

The 12S Ultra also features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Inside the 12S Ultra is a 4860 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. Xiaomi has packed its Surge P1 and G1 chipsets to ensure better battery management.

On the back, there is a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup. The 12S Ultra has a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor. It is accompanied by a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP periscope camera with up to 120x hybrid zoom.

The phone also features a 32MP front camera packed inside the hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the display. The 12S Ultra runs Android 12 out of the box. It has a layer of MIUI 13 on top. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, Harmon-Kardon-tuned dual speakers, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, 4G VoLTE, etc.
