Kaizer Chiefs will watch with great interest as Chippa pursue a move for Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori.
CHIPPA INTERESTED IN OFORI
Local outlet Soccer-Laduma, have reported interest from Chippa in Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori. The Ghanaian has fallen down the pecking order with the defending Nedbank Cup champions. As things stand, Ofori is the third choice behind Sipho Chaine and Melusi Buthelezi. If Chippa is keen to sign a high-profile figure like Ofori, it’s been deduced that they’re expecting to sell in-demand Nigerian star Stanley Nwabali. The Super Eagles man has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs for weeks.
“Chippa are already preparing for life after Stanley (Nwabali). They don’t want to be caught off guard and that’s why they have inquired about Richard Ofori from Pirates. The team are interested in him in case their number one leaves at the end of the season which is more likely. They know it won’t be easy to get Ofori but they have a good relationship with Pirates and they are hoping on that. But they really want him at the end of the season,” said source to the publication.

AZIZ KI STAYING LOYAL AMID ORLANDO PIRATES OFFER?
Young Africans SC star Stephane Aziz Ki, a full Burkina Faso international, has rejected a pre-contract offer from Pirates. Born in the Ivory Coast, Stephane Aziz Ki has 12 caps and two goals for the Burkinabes. This season, the 28-year-old has 20 direct goal contributions in the Tanzanian Premier League. He also has two goals and two assists from 12 outings in the CAF Champions League. This guy knows his way to the goal.
“I have no expectations of leaving Yanga because I have not achieved the goals that brought me here. This club, which I love with all my heart, still owes me, and even money cannot fill my for this club,” said Aziz Ki on his future after links with Pirates as per The Citizen.
Could Jose Riveiro’s men change his stance with a monthly salary offer that’s too good to refuse? According to SoccerLaduma, Aziz Ki is bagging €11,000 a month. That’s roughly R222k.
