Woman, 75, stabbed multiple times in head by parolee who followed her into Bronx elevator

An elderly woman was stabbed multiple times in the head on Sunday after an attacker followed her into an elevator at a residential building in the Bronx, sources said.

The unidentified 75-year-old woman was stabbed in the face and head inside 2066 Morris Avenue at 11:30 a.m. in the Tremont neighborhood, according to law enforcement sources.

A 38-year-old stabbed her numerous times. Police later apprehended the man, sources said.

The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her condition and relation to her attacker are unknown. It was unclear if she lived in the building.

The 75-year-old woman, whose identity hasn’t been released publicly, was stabbed in the face and head multiple times inside 2066 Morris Avenue at 11:30 a.m. in the Tremont neighborhood.

The suspect is on parole from a similar crime that took place in October 2012, where he followed a 22-year-old woman off a bus in Queens and stabbed her in the back two times, sources said.

He was also arrested in 2013, according to sources.

The unidentified suspect was placed under arrest on Sunday evening and charges against him were pending, sources said.

Overall crime is down in the Big Apple 2.3%, according to the NYPD. However, felony assault is up 3% and robbery is up 4.1%.

The NYPD does not publicly track stabbing incidents.

Skiboky Stora, 40, of East New York, was charged with assault Wednesday in connection with a random Monday attack on Halley Kate, the NYPD said.

Kate’s viral TikTok garnered 41 million and several other women came forward to share they had also been sucker punched while walking.

Police did not say if Stora was a suspect in any of the other incidents.
