Aufatmen in Luzern: Der erste Saisonsieg im elften Match bringt etwas willkommene Ruhe und biete die Chance auf einen Neustart.

Mit einer Ehrenrunde feierten die Luzerner Spieler den ersten Sieg. Eine kleine Ewigkeit mussten die Innerschweizer auf diesen Moment warten. Dabei hatten sie in den letzten Wochen immer wieder auch spielerisch überzeugt und waren dem erlösenden Sieg nahe gekommen, etwa eine Woche zuvor gegen die Young Boys. Nicht umsonst und nicht zu unrecht sagte Dejan Sorgic, der Torschütze zum 1:0: “Wir haben uns diesen Sieg schon lange verdient.”

Der Cupsieger ist sich auch in der schwierigen Phase treu geblieben. Trainer Fabio Celestini wollte von seiner Spielphilosophie mit dem risikoreichen Auftreten auch nicht abkommen, als der Druck immer grösser wurde. Nun gelang der erste Befreiungsschlag am Sonntagnachmittag nicht mit Brillanz, sondern dank zwei Treffern nach Eckbällen. “Es war ein Krampf”, resümierte Sorgic gegenüber “blue”.

Rückkehrer und Perspektiven

Einiges spricht dafür, dass es nun bergauf geht für die Luzerner. Die Verletztenliste wird immer kleiner. Pascal Schürpf zeigte schon bei seinem ersten Teileinsatz nach dreimonatiger Abwesenheit wie viele Impulse er in der Offensive geben kann. Auch die Rückkehr von Ibrahima Ndiaye, dem zweiten Torschützen gegen St. Gallen, wird Sorgic entlasten. Vom Gewicht der Captainbinde hat Celestini seinen Goalgetter bereits befreit. Am Sonntag trug er sie erstmals in dieser Saison nicht.

Qualitativ dürfte die aktuelle Mannschaft von Luzern nicht schlechter sein als diejenige der Vorsaison, die vor fünf Monaten im Cupfinal den FC St. Gallen geschlagen hatte. Sieht man es in Luzern positiv – und darauf deutet die Stimmung im Stadion am Sonntag hin – war der erste Sieg der etwas verspätete Startschuss zur neuen Saison. Die Möglichkeiten in der Super League sind noch gross, der Rückstand auf das viertplatzierte Lugano beträgt nur fünf Zähler, und im Cup steht am Mittwoch der Achtelfinal beim FC Schaffhausen an.

St. Gallens verpasste Chance

Sollte trotzdem ein Warnfinger nötig sein, dann drängt sich der Blick nach St. Gallen auf. Die Ostschweizer dachten mit dem 2:1 gegen Servette vor einer Woche den Befreiungsschlag geschafft zu haben. Eine halbe Stunde lang spielten sie in Luzern auch befreit auf, doch spätestens nach dem 0:2 brach das ganze Konstrukt wie ein Kartenhaus zusammen. “Wir haben nicht mehr daran geglaubt”, bedauerte Trainer Peter Zeidler. Die Energie und der Wille hätten nach dem zweiten Gegentreffer gefehlt.
