Nach dem 1:1 gegen Lausanne-Sport analysiert Pajtim Kasami die Leistung des FC Basel und die verpasste Chance, YB im Meisterrennen zu distanzieren.

Es gab wohl auch schon einfachere Spielzeiten als diese für Pajtim Kasami. Der 29-Jährige ist zwar, wenn er spielt, oft einer der lauffreudigsten Basler, aber hatte vor allem zu Beginn der Spielzeit Mühe, seinen Rhythmus zu finden, und zeigte oft durchschnittliche Leistungen. Zudem blieb er, was die Skorerpunkte anbelangt, weit unter denjenigen Werten, die er in der Vorsaison aufweisen konnte. Zuletzt jedoch zeigte sich Kasami stark verbessert. Gegen Lausanne-Sport gehörte er zu den besten Baslern und erzielte in der Nachspielzeit den so wichtigen 1:1-Ausgleichstreffer.

Pajtim Kasami, wie gross war die Last, die Ihnen nach dem Ausgleichstreffer von den Schultern fiel?

Ich war schon sehr froh, dass wir diesen Punkt noch holen konnten. Wir haben es uns unnötig schwer gemacht, sind in einen unnötigen Konter gelaufen und haben dumm den Penalty verschuldet. Aber klar ist auch: Wir müssen davor schon mehrmals in Führung gehen.

Fühlt es sich dennoch etwas wie ein Sieg an?

Wenn man so viele Möglichkeiten vergibt, aber am Ende mit der letzten Chance doch noch trifft, obwohl uns alle im Stadion schon als Verlierer gesehen haben, freut man sich sicher. Da muss ich der Mannschaft auch ein Kompliment machen. Wir haben trotz dem späten Gegentor nicht aufgegeben und wollten diesen Treffer unbedingt.

Trotzdem hat der FCB zwei Punkte verloren, oder?

Klar, wir hatten definitiv mit drei Zählern gerechnet. Wir müssen als FC Basel auch den Anspruch haben, zu Hause zu gewinnen. Aber uns ist es gegen Lausanne einfach nicht gelungen, den Ball über die Linie zu befördern. Das ist frustrierend. Und dann haben wir etwas den Kopf verloren. Daraus müssen wir lernen.

Woran hat es offensiv gefehlt?

An der letzten Konsequenz im Abschluss. Und vielleicht am Auge für den besser postierten Mitspieler. Aber so oder so: Mit unserer Erfahrung müssten wir aus einem solchen Spiel mehr herausholen.

Mit diesem Remis hat der FCB es verpasst, YB zu distanzieren und am FCZ dranzubleiben.

Definitiv. Wir haben an diesem Sonntag zwei Punkte verloren. Aber wir dürfen nicht zu negativ sein, sondern müssen aus den begangenen Fehlern lernen und bis zur Winterpause alles raushauen. Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass uns dies auch gelingen wird. Am Donnerstag geht es ja bereits wieder in der Conference League weiter. Dort wollen wir den Gruppensieg holen.
