On December 1, the wolf hunt is set to start for animals outside the wolf zone, and 26 wolves can be shot. The number of animals to be hunted in the wolf zone itself will be decided in December.
The largest adopted quotas of animals that can be shot include twelve animals in region 4 and region 5 – which includes old Hedmark and Akershus, and seven animals in region 3, or old Oppland county.
Despite complaints about the decision from the predatory game committees from several organizations, the Ministry of Climate and Environment is not budging when it comes to the quota of up to twelve wolves in old Hedmark and Akershus outside the wolf zone.
