Could five-star defensive back Jonah Williams be headed to the SEC?
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety is projected to commit to Oklahoma, according to the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
The Sooners are the heavy favorite for Williams, but Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, LSU, and USC are all still heavily involved in his recruitment.
The native of Galveston, Texas is the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 class. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, he ranks as the No. 1 safety and No. 4 prospect in the state of Texas.
Williams was named the Texas District 9-5A D-I Defensive Player of the Year after totaling 58 tackles, four tackles for loss, and four interceptions. He also finished the season with eight receiving touchdowns and four total return touchdowns.
Williams would be a massive addition to Oklahoma’s 2025 recruiting class. The Sooners do not hold a commitment from a Top-100 prospect, but Oklahoma’s class currently ranks No. 11 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC.
