David Poile collected what was possibly the deal of the draft in 2022 when the Nashville Predators selected Finnish forward Joakim Kemell with the 17th overall pick. After wrapping up his season in Finland, Kemell impressed in his 28 games with the Milwaukee Admirals including a standout postseason. In his 14 playoff games, Kemell scored eight goals – including four power play goals – and tallied ten points.
As the Predators face a reset that will inevitably feature opportunities for young players, could Kemell be a surprise addition to the Nashville roster?
