Will dole out Rythu sum to remaining 4 lakh farmers by May 8, says Revanth Reddy
HYDERABAD: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday announced the Congress govt will deposit Rythu Bandhu financial assistance to the remaining four lakh farmers by May 8 and Aasara pensions to all the beneficiaries by May 9.
Addressing a public meeting in Kothagudem assembly segment of Khammam Lok Sabha constituency, the CM said: “Even if one listed beneficiary of Rythu Bandhu scheme is left out on May 9, I will rub my nose on the ground at the martyrs’ memorial. I am throwing a challenge at BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao to rub his nose on the ground if the Congress govt successfully completes implementation of Rythu Bandhu in next four days.”
The CM was replying to BRS leaders, including KCR, accusing the govt of not implementing the Rythu Bandhu scheme and not extending Aasara pension to the beneficiaries.
Revanth reiterated that his govt will waive crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh of all the farmers by Aug 15. “I swear in the name of Bhadrachalam Lord Rama that the crop loans will be waived by Independence Day,” he said.
