Welcome to Wrexham was renewed earlier this month and it looks like that third installment, set to premiere in Spring 2024, will be complimented by a weekly podcast, This Week in Wrexham.

Men in Blazers Media Network announced the season-long podcast series this morning, set to be “powered” by Wrexham AFC’s official stadium sponsor, STōK Cold Brew Coffee.

This Week in Wrexham will be a stream of content for the American audience, allowing fans to keep up
with the soccer club owned by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds both on and off the pitch. The podcast will consist of 30 weekly episodes and will be hosted by local correspondent, Thomas Wynne Lewis – AKA “Tommy Cheese” – a journalist and lifelong supporter of the club. Lewis will file weekly travelogs following the team, both at home and away.

In addition, Lewis will join host Roger Bennett on a monthly deep-dive digital special along with a leading Wrexham figure from the playing staff or back office, kicking off with Wrexham’s leading goalscorer, Paul Mullin. The content will be distributed across Men in Blazers’ social channels, podcast feeds and The Raven newsletter.

The Men in Blazers Media Network offers podcasts distributed through Wondery, TV shows, digital series, newsletters, live tours and a co-production partnership with Twitch.

Said Men in Blazers Media Network Co-Founder Roger Bennett, “With This Week in Wrexham
we hope we tell the story of their current season as it is played out week by week, game by game, emotion by emotion.”

McElhenney added, “I’m thrilled Men in Blazers and STōK are coming together to give a weekly glimpse of the Club to their American audiences, allowing a new group of people to find the joy (and sometimes pain)
this team can bring.”
