Playland decides to stay open until June
Playland has announced they have decided to stay open until the end of June 2024.
Just days after they announced they were “permanently closing” on January 14th, the park announced Thursday morning their plans to remain open.
After an emergency meeting between the storyland board of directors and Helm and sons, we are proud to announce that storyland has officially agreed to help with a plan for the overall operational costs, developmental marketing plan, and infrastructure needs associated with playlands operation in order to help ensure it continues to stay open.
The park says the deal they made will be until the end of June.
This time will allow them to attempt to create a self-sustaining facility, as well as introduce new marketing and operational strategies including:
- All Thursdays will be community 1/2 price admission days.
- All Wednesdays will offer school tour options starting as low as 4$ per child.
- All Admission Options are now 10$ for everyone (2 and under are free)
Operational hours will also be expanded as follows:
- Wednesdays-school tour hours will be from 8am-2pm , as needed by each school.
- Thursdays/fridays-12-8
- Saturdays, Sundays-10-8.
- A $25 per person monthly pass for unlimited visits.
