TikToker Maddy Baloy, known for documenting her life with terminal cancer, passed away Wednesday, her fiance revealed. Popular through her TikTok name FruitSnackMaddy, the influencer passed away ‘peacefully,’ and was ‘surrounded by love’ at the time of her death, her fiance said. She was 26.
“Madison passed away peacefully last night,” fiancé Louis Risher said. “”She is so special. I turned 27 yesterday, actually. I was holding her hand all day and that’s all I needed.”
According to reports, Baloy was a former kindergarten teacher at Shore Acres Elementary in Tampa, Florida. In 2022, her health took a downturn, with stomach troubles arising during the summer.
Despite initially addressing her diet and lifestyle, her discomfort persisted. Medical examinations revealed abnormalities in her large intestine, marked by multiple tumors necessitating urgent surgery. At just 26 years old, she received a stage four cancer diagnosis and was told she had five years left to live.
Her last video on TikTok was uploaded in March from Japan where she was on her ‘dream vacation’. In the same post, she also shared images of tumors all around her body. She revealed in the video that the chilly weather in Kyoto had left her shivering, prompting her to confront the challenge of bathing with her colostomy bag.
“Hi my name is Madison and I have stage four terminal cancer, and I haven’t taken a bath in a year,” she said in the video. “My cancer is in my large intestine, my small intestine, my uterus, my ovaries, basically the entire lower half of my body is filled up with cancer.
“Because of that, I had to have an emergency surgery to receive a colostomy. The only thing that I can think of is how amazing a bath would feel. This house happens to have the most beautiful bath that I’ve ever seen. But because I have a colostomy, I haven’t taken a bath in a year,” she added.
