Singaporean foreign minister visiting PH
MANILA, Philippines —Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is scheduled for a three-day visit to the Philippines next week, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced on Friday.
In a statement, DFA said the official visit will take place on April 15 to April 17, 2024.
“Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo will meet with Foreign Minister Balakrishnan to discuss ways to further strengthen Philippines-Singapore relations, as well as to exchange views on regional and international developments,” the DFA said.
The DFA likewise detailed that Balakrishnan’s upcoming three-day visit seeks to “build on the gains” of the informal consultations on the Philippine-Singapore Action Plan.
“The Philippines and Singapore enjoy more than five decades of multi-faceted engagement in the areas of defense and security, trade and investment, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges,” the DFA said. (Ana Mae Malate, INQUIRER.net trainee)
