Led by Emmy nominee Niecy Nash as Simone Clark, “The Rookie: Feds” features an impressive cast of proven players like Britt Robertson from “Tomorrowland” and Frankie Faison from “The Wire.” The spinoff also features several intriguing side players, like Antoinette Benneteau, who has appeared in many of the first season’s entries.

Viewers have watched Antoinette aid Simone and the rest of the bureau’s agents in pursuing justice as the FBI laboratory technician and forensic biologist. Fans have also made it known they’ve enjoyed her romance with Brendon Acres (Kevin Zegers).

The talented individual responsible for the performance of “The Rookie: Feds” persona is Devika Bhise. The ABC crime-drama is not the actor’s only gig making up her body of work. Some of her other notable TV credits include appearances on shows like “Fantasy Island,” “Extrapolations,” “Chicago Med,” and “Elementary.” Her film work includes roles in “The Man Who Knew Infinity” and “Impossible Monsters.”

She also starred in the 2019 feature “The Warrior Queen of Jhansi” as Queen Rani Kakshmibai. In addition, Bhise co-wrote the script for the biopic, which presented a unique challenge.

“My contribution was kind of extrapolating on the history that existed,” Bhise said in an interview with The Mary Sue. “It was an interesting exercise to have to write in pretty strict parameters.” Whether adapting history for cinema or helping crack the case on “The Rookie: Feds,” Bhise has proven to be a valued asset in the industry, and that shouldn’t come as a surprise, according to the actor.

Devika Bhise knew she was destined for showbiz from an early age

Before helping take down criminals with the FBI as Antoinette on “The Rookie: Feds,” Bhise was putting on a show for her own audience. Some might be surprised to learn that from a very young age, Bhise wasn’t shy about performing in front of a crowd and stealing every scene she could.

“As a child, at about two or three-years-old, I was already a drama queen. I used to do the whole crocodile tears thing, so my parents always knew I wanted to be an actress, but for them, education was really important,” Bhise said in an interview with A Book Of. Unfortunately, her big dreams would have to wait.

“So I did school, I finished college, and only after that was I really able to go out on my own and act the way I wanted to aside from school plays and all of those things, but I always knew it was the end goal.” While the realm of acting really is no easy career to take on, Bhise is confident in her abilities and has no plans to pursue anything else.

“People ask what’s your plan B? Well if you’re gonna have a plan B,” Bhise said, “you’re probably not gonna do plan A, so I’m not gonna have a plan B.” The dedication Bhise has displayed toward her craft has allowed the actor to achieve so much throughout her career, including a leading role as a fierce queen in an epic biopic and as a recurring player on the critically renowned spinoff “The Rookie: Feds.”
