It may be over but Ryan Tubridy is still reflecting on this year’s The Late Late Toy Show and shared an emotional message to his fans.

Friday night saw the host once again don many fun Christmas jumpers and attempt to keep children to their script.

Once again, the Toy Show was a massive hit with viewers and raised millions of euro for its appeal.

The Toy Show Appeal has raised over €5million, with the money raised going to various children’s charities around Ireland.

Adding to the fundraiser is Revolut founder Vlad Yatsenko who has offered €100,000, rounding up Revolut donations to €1million.

What an incredible support @RevolutApp customers gave to a worthy charity @RTELateLateShow! Granted, there were some challenges at the peek of the live campaign. So, I’ve personally donated €100K, and will also match any further donations this weekend via @RevolutApp up to €1M.

It’s clear the Toy Show is still warming the nation’s heart as donations continued to flow in over the weekend.

Now Ryan has taken a moment to thank those who made this year’s Toy Show happen, from the ‘army’ to the ‘amazing children’.

A post shared by Ryan Tubridy (@instatubridy)

He wrote on Instagram: ‘Where to begin? With a big THANK YOU to the countless troops in the Toy Show army who soldiered tirelessly to make Friday happen.

‘And to the most amazing children in the world for joining us and teaching us. And to all the passers by with kind words. Thanks everyone. Every child counts!’

There were countless moments on the Toy Show that made Ireland laugh and others that brought a tear to our eyes.

The show kicked off with Alanna who flew in as Batgirl and was so excited by all the toys, she couldn’t focus on one.

Then there was Lorcan who was more interested in the toys than playing along with Ryan.

One moment that has everyone talking is not DJ Calum’s set with his little brother and hype man Jackson but his reaction to Fergal singing Ave Maria in Italian.
