On Sunday, footage of the 21-year-old guard went viral on X, formerly Twitter, after the Buckeyes’ upset win over the Cyclones, as it showed Clark getting unexpectedly hit by a the fan, who had just stormed onto the floor at Value City Arena, while she was jogging back to Iowa’s locker room.
Clark can be seen getting onto her knees and lying forward in pain after the collision, as many of her Iowa teammates rushed over to make sure if she was okay. Thankfully, she was, as indicated by comments made during her postgame press conference.
‘Kind of scary because it could have caused a pretty serious injury to me,’ Clark said at first. ‘[It] knocked the wind out of me. But luckily, teammates picked me up and got me off the court, so… and their AD already came and apologized to me. I really appreciated that.
‘This comes with the territory. I’m sure they tried their best to do whatever they could. Obviously it didn’t work and that’s disappointing.’
