When do you get the ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has an ikran, that dragon-like flying creature from the first movie, right on the cover. Even the story heavily foreshadows it. But you’re going to have to play a while before you pair with your new flying friend.
Our Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora guide will tell you how to get your own ikran flying mount.
How to get an ikran in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Like we said, there’s an ikran on the cover art, so it’s not really a surprise that you’re going to get a flying mount at some point in the game, but you do have to put in a bit of work before you get it.
You’ll meet your ikran mount as part of the main story during a quest called, fittingly, “Take Flight.” It’s the 11th main story quest, so you’ll have to play for a while first. It took us about 10 hours to get there, but your mileage may vary based on how much wandering you do, how many side quests you complete, and how long it takes you to find those elusive superior ingredients.
During “Take Flight,” you’ll head to the Ikran Rookery and do a lot of climbing to reach the top. Once you’ve soothed the ikran that you’ve been chasing, you’ll bond with it and then get to name her.
You can’t give your ikran a custom name, sadly. You’ll get a list of options that range from Na’vi-sounding names like Temek to (unexpectedly) silly names like Floof or Carol (out of which, Floof is clearly the best). You’ll also get to pick her initial pattern, but you can find other patterns out in the world and choose those from your Character menu.
After you’ve bonded with your ikran, you can call her at any time by pressing up on the D-pad or H on a keyboard.News Related
