Success Story: Meet Radha who bagged 7th Rank in her first UPSC attempt

Twenty-two years ago, Anil Awasthi, a farmer from Pachnehi, a small village in the Banda District of Uttar Pradesh, left his home with his family and shifted to Lucknow to provide a better education for his children. Today, his daughter, Radha Awasthi, successfully cracked the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023, securing seventh rank on her first attempt.

Currently, his son is an engineer in Gujarat, his eldest daughter is a lecturer in an inter-college, his second daughter is a bank manager, and his third daughter has just cleared the UPSC examination.

Radha completed her schooling and obtained her BSc degree in Lucknow. While pursuing MTech, she started preparing for the UPSC examination.

“I dedicated myself and worked hard day and night, successfully cracking the UPSC exam on my first attempt,” says Radha.

The house is filled with joy after Radha’s success. While expressing her happiness, Radha gave credit to her parents for their unwavering dedication. She further added that there is no work that daughters cannot do. If they work hard, anyone can achieve it.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023. Candidates can check their results by visiting the commission’s website, upsc.gov.in.
