What to wear this weekend: FEMAIL picks out the best patterned coats for a catwalk statement this season

POP ON A PRINTED COAT 

A bold, printed coat is my patent cure for the January blues. We all need some cheering up and wearing something bright and exciting is an easy way to do it.

CATWALK STATEMENT

This eye-catching 100 per cent wool coat from Boden is both mood-boosting and a conversation piece.

It also allows me to be ahead of the fashion curve as attention-grabbing coats and jackets were big news on the spring/­summer catwalks, with bold florals at Erdem and Loewe, fireworks at Dries van Noten and kaleidoscope patterns at Stella McCartney.

I’m steering clear of colourful puffer jackets and patterned rain macs and I suggest that you do the same.
