Jessica Alves reveals she was the victim of a terrifying kidnap threat and had gun shots fired at her in Brazil as she returns to London for a night out

Jessica Alves has revealed to MailOnline that she was the victim of a terrifying kidnap threat in Brazil.

The TV personality, 40, recalled having gunshots fired at her as she left her home in São Paulo, during a recent four-week visit.

Jessica, who has lived in London for the past 21 years after she moved to the capital for university aged 18, purchased a condo in Brazil two years ago, in order to have a place near to her family.

The reality star explained how she spent four weeks out there, but her visit was marred by a horrifying ordeal which occurred as she left her condo on her seventh day in São Paulo.

Jessica detailed how gun shots were fired as she drove out of her home with her sister, with police eventually revealing to her that she was the victim of a kidnap threat, which forced her to hire 24/7 armed security.

Jessica described the property she bought in São Paulo as ‘a beautiful house in São Paulo at a nature reserved area inside a gated condominium.’

She explained: ‘My Family are European immigrants based in São Paulo. They are very successful owning a third of the shopping malls, supermarkets and shops in the city.

‘They live a very discreet life, yet drive bullet prof cars and also live in condos with high security.

‘I go to Brazil often to do my TV shows and never stay too long, but at this time I booked four weeks. In my first week I recorded the tv shows and I would go out and about to the mall or dinner with friends living a normal life as I do in London.

‘Also I posted many Instagram stories around my house and by the pool and so people found out where my condo is.

‘Everyday when I went out by car there would be a legion of fans waiting outside. Naturally I would get out of the car and I would take selfies and thanks them, but also ask them to go home and not stay outside waiting to see me all day.

‘On the 7th day I left the house with my sister and there ware a lot people waiting for me. My sister didn’t feel comfortable with that and so drove off.

‘As we did, we heard a loud gun shot behind us. The security at the condo then called the police.

The TV personality insisted that she wants to continue living a normal live, unafraid of attacks and so has simply upped her personal security as a safety measure

‘Once the area outside the condo was cleared and I had the ”okay” to come back, the police were at the condo and explained that I had a kidnap threat against me. They told me that for my security I should just stay at home.

‘On top of having security at the condo, I had to hire armed security who stayed by my door for three weeks.

‘When I was taken to the airport to fly home, I was escorted by the local police and my private armed security.

‘It was a relief for me when I set on my British airways flight. As the doors closed I started to cry like a baby and the crew member looking after me asked if I was okay. I said ”yes now I m that we are going back to London”.

Jessica also recalled being robbed while shopping in London at the end of November, but insisted she wants to continue living a normal live, unafraid of attacks and so has simply upped her personal security as a safety measure.

She said: ‘Two month ago I was robbed in front of Harrods, but even so London isn’t as dangerous as São Paulo.

‘I still want to live a normal life, meet my friends for diner and drinks and have fun! I don’t want to live the rest of my life afraid or worried that I will get robbed or kidnapped anymore, so from now on I have always security when I go out anywhere.

‘I feel sorry for my family now in Brazil who have to live with the aftermath of me leaving. But they made me promised not to worry and assured me that everything is under control.

‘When I’m in London I have an active social life, meeting friends and going out . And that won’t change.’

And true to her word, on Sunday evening Jessica enjoyed a night out in London’s Mayfair with a gal pal.

The TV personality put on an eye-popping display as she showed off her curves in a plunging pink jumpsuit and opera gloves.

Jessica channeled Barbie in her skin-tight ensemble, which she paired with a matching coloured pair of pointed stilettos and a hot pink Chanel handbag.

Amid the plunging temperatures in the capital, the reality star wore a fluffy white shawl around her shoulders.

Completing her striking look, Jessica accessorised with dazzling hoop earrings as well as a sparkling ring and bracelet worn atop her gloves.
