Collect oysters – until the end of April – at various places along the coast
Finally, a tip that you can use well after the autumn holidays: pick oysters! Collecting oysters yourself has been on the rise recently, not only in Zeeland, but also in other parts of the country, such as on the Wadden Islands or in the province of Groningen. Off to the beach, with a knife and a basket, and eat them straight from the hand – it doesn’t get any fresher! – or of course take them home for a festive meal there. Keep the champagne cold. Curious about how oyster turners work and where you can do it all? Then read Picking oysters in the Netherlands: these are the 8 best places.
