PBA: Jerrick Balanza shipped to Magnolia
Magnolia added some depth to its roster currently dealing with injuries by acquiring Jerrick Balanza from Converge in a deal the PBA approved Thursday.
The Hotshots sent their second round pick in next season’s Rookie Draft in order to get Balanza, who will now play for his fourth team since entering the big league in 2019.
Balanza previously played for Barangay Ginebra and NorthPort before joining Converge in a trade last season.

His addition is something Magnolia hopes would help remedy its current dilemma with role players such as Rome dela Rosa and Aris Dionisio out with injuries.
Mark Barroca is also dealing with a broken hand but has opted to continue playing.
The Hotshots hold a 2-2 record and had just snapped a two-game skid following Wednesday’s win over the Batang Pier.
Converge, meanwhile, parted ways with Balanza, who lasted just 15 months snapping three conferences with the team.
He came to the FiberXers in January 2023 for Allyn Bulanadi.
