In the corona year 2020, overnight stays of Norwegian guests decreased by 84%.
Fredrik Lindén, CEO of the West Sweden Tourist Board, is now pleased that the Norwegian authorities are looking at the possibility of quarantine-free border crossing for all corona vaccinated travelers from July.
“The fact that the pandemic has prevented Norwegians from holidaying in the region is, of course, a major challenge for the local tourism industry. Norwegian tourists are deeply missed, and we now hope for a quick but sound opening of the border,” Lindén said.
