West Coast Eagles star Tom Barrass and partner Nadia Rosa welcome their first child

West Coast Eagles star defender Tom Barrass and his partner Nadia Rosa have welcomed their first child.

Rosa, who is the step-sister of legendary Perth actor Heath Ledger, and Barrass both took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the arrival.

“At 11.11am on the 12/10/21 we welcomed Billy Antony Barrass into the world. His mother is doing an incredible job and our hearts are full of love and gratitude,” Barrass wrote on Instagram.

The baby’s middle name is a likely nod to Barrass’ father, legendary journalist Tony who passed away in March.

The doting parents shared photos of their bundle of joy during his first precious first moments.

“Billy Antony Barrass. Born at 11:11 on the 12/10/21 We are so in love with this little man @tombarrass,” Rosa wrote.

The posts were quickly flooded with comments from friends and loved ones including Tim Kelly’s partner Caitlin Miller, Jack Redden’s wife Aymee Redden and Brad Sheppard’s partner Ellen Taylor-Hawkins.

Rosa first debuted her bump on Instagram back in May with a black and white snap at the beach.

“Halfway,” she captioned the post.

Barrass previously revealed that deciding on a name for their little one had been a source of “beef” for the couple.

But he said he’d stay away from naming his first child after a teammate or an opponent, such as Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

“Nah, I’ll be reminiscing on the eight (goal) bag he kicked on me every time I look at my child,” he joked on Triple M’s Rush Hour in June.

Barrass and Rosa made their red carpet debut at West Coast’s club champion function — the John Worsfold Medal — in October 2018.
