Weekly horoscope from October 17 to October 23: Your luck for this week; see which signs have lady luck smiling for them

Here’s what the ancient Tarot cards have to say about your Sun sign for this week:

Aries (Mar 21- Apr 19)

A situation will require a peaceful resolution. Control your urge to be aggressive as it could lead to more resistance. Forcing someone to agree will only lead to more roadblocks later on. If you’ve been ignoring your health of late, this week urges you to wake up and make the necessary changes for long-term benefits. Something promises financial gains but only after a long wait. Control the urge to splurge on something you know you’ll get bored of.

Taurus (Apr 20- May 20)

When you walk in with a spirit of compromise, good things happen. A good week for negotiations and agreements, as both parties will be satisfied with the end result. Finances perk up and you will start finding ways to grow your income. Business ideas and partnerships that begin in this period may take time to materialise but show promising results. The women in your life may need to be persuaded gently for truce. Travel plans get finalised and if you are planning to buy or sell property, be a little cautious.

Gemini (May 21- June 20)

Too much socialising may take its toll on your mind and your health. Call it a quiet time or call it meditation. A part of you wants to just be left alone for a while. A good week to introspect, lay down long-term plans and most importantly, let go of the frivolous and the surplus. Relationships that leave you unfulfilled or just used need to be released once and for all. Health matters improve with mindfulness and an old desire you’d forgotten about may suddenly come true.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)

Romance is in the air and even if a special someone doesn’t appear right away, you will feel the energies around you sparkle and lift. A good week to meet others and network. You leave the right impression in the right circles as a new phase begins where things slowly start to work in your favour. If you want to spread the good vibes or multiply them, then acts of charity, voluntary service, donation bring forth blessings your way. The health of a family member may need a second opinion or a totally different line of treatment for benefits.

Leo (July 23- Aug 22)

Expansion requires assistance and the only way you will get the help you need is by asking for it. The week favours long-term planning and investment, something which requires persistence and mettle. But are you patient enough to roll up your sleeves and start doing the work? Those in the business of creativity, content creation or the Arts should find multiple sources of inspiration to let creativity express itself.

Appreciation comes when you least expect it. Let go of all the expectations from a certain relationship, as they don’t have the capacity to forgive nor the desire to reconnect.

Virgo (Aug 23- Sept 22)

Choose a new direction. Try a different approach. Rework your original strategy. Open your mind to what it is telling you to do. Step into someone else’s shoes. Harmony comes when you give from the heart with no expectations. Share your love, express appreciation and praise and watch productivity and morale rise. If single and looking, you could come close to finding the one. If married, expect bonds to deepen. A new business opportunity or job lead may get you excited but check first, if it’s too good to be real.

Libra (Sept 23- Oct 22)

The outcome of a situation depends on your mindset. A positive approach delivers favourable results. Stand in your own power and stay optimistic about someone or something. With a little patience, you could be on top of the world. Someone from your past may reach out for a hello and a goodbye, but are you ready to go down that road? See how far you have come and choose to make progress. Healthwise, be watchful for the recurrence of an allergy or an old ailment. Stick to the tried and tested remedies.

Scorpio (Oct 23- Nov21)

Sometimes we have no choice but to wait for an answer to appear. Don’t force and don’t stress. Trust your instincts, trust the situation and try not to be too suspicious of others’ motives. An ongoing project concludes with the promise of future gains and accolades. Giving credit where it’s due will bring forth blessings. An old debt may be repaid with a little persuasion. If on a new diet plan or fitness regime, keep going as the cards promise pleasant surprises and greater wellbeing.

Sagittarius (Nov 22- Dec 21)

A pleasant surprise. A windfall gain. Unexpected good news. Though it may last for a moment, the happiness will linger for much longer. At some level, you’ve deserved it, after all, that you have been through and done for others. Recognition may come by way of praise or promotion. The financial outlook is bright and investments slowly reap returns. If there’s anything to be mindful of, it’s a little carelessness during an exam or misplacing an important document or item.

Capricorn (Dec 22- Jan19)

Someone shows their true colours. Pay attention to what they did and not what they promised. Ignoring the red flags could cost you. In hindsight, you realise you knew it was going to happen all along. A minor health flare-up could force you to rest for a bit and though the timing may appear wrong, the Universe knows exactly what it’s doing. Time to just be, instead of doing it all the time. The time reminds you to rest, take a break and detox. You deserve a break.

Aquarius (Jan 20- Feb 18)

Time to hone your research skills into something new and promising. The cards point at knowledge and analysis before making an informed decision. In your haste to get things done, something important could be missed, so make sure you read everything twice with care. Someone’s lie could be exposed and it’s up to you to decide how you want to proceed with them. Be careful with valuables and money and trust your hunches about a situation. Sleep patterns may get disturbed with too much screen time. Detox and simplify.

Pisces (Feb 19- Mar 20)

Significant changes are ahead. What you accomplish now will have a bearing on your destiny. The fear and doubt that you feel is only temporary. Walk through your blocks and discover your potential. Self-belief shows and your audience may be surprised by your talents and ability to persuade groups. Looking at the larger benefits and interest is the mark of a leader and you’re a natural. Financially, watch out for a sudden bill or expense you hadn’t budgeted for. Health improves with regular meditation and exercise. Don’t quit now.
