Ukraine will not engage in negotiations with Russia. According to advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin aims to conquer not only Ukraine but also other post-Soviet territories, reports Bild.

Podolyak has rejected the possibility of peaceful negotiations for Ukraine with Russia.

“The war will continue, according to Putin’s visions, until he conquers the entire territory of Ukraine, until he achieves dominance in Europe, until he conquers other post-Soviet territories. A person won’t embark on a major war, destroying their reputation and relationships if they’re content with something small. It’s nonsense,” he said.

The advisor to the head of the Office of the President also called for the continuation of arms supplies. According to him, the problem lies in imbalance, and supplies should be balanced.

Additionally, Podolyak urged for the strengthening of Ukraine with high-tech weapons. He added that the front line spans 1300 kilometers, with combat operations occurring within 600–800 kilometers. Podolyak emphasized that Russia has not made significant progress in the year of war.

Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia

It is worth noting that Ukraine and Russia engaged in several rounds of negotiations at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Currently, the Ukrainian government emphasizes that Ukraine will not return to the negotiating table until Moscow withdraws its forces.

Earlier, the American channel NBC News, citing American and European officials, reported that the United States and the European Union had begun private discussions with Ukraine on the possibility of peace talks with Russia. According to media reports, these talks included discussions about what Ukraine might have to give up for peace.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied the media reports. He emphasized that no one is pressuring Ukraine on negotiation matters.
