Brian McFadden or should we say Brian Gosling? Yes, the Westlife star has got his driving gloves out and channeled his inner Ryan Gosling.
The singer reunited with his good pal Keith Duffy for their two-man band, Boyzlife, as they released a band new single, The One.
They decided to draw inspiration from Ryan Gosling’s iconic film Drive with Brian taking on the role of Gosling and his pal Keith playing the villain of the movie.
Unfortunately, they were unable to afford Carrie Mulligan to reprise her role as Irene. Instead, a brunette model dances in the backseat of the Mustang.
We’ve had a whirlwind of a year but this might just take the biscuit as the craziest and most entertaining thing that has happened.
Obviously, they couldn’t take inspiration from just one music video, we mean neither did Ariana Grande for her Thank U, Next video. So what pairs well with the gritty action flick that is Drive?
Well, Flashdance and Footloose, of course!
‘Keith and I grew up in the 80s and 90s, the sound of that era is what made us want to be musicians in the first place.
‘When we first started talking about making this record as Boyzlife’s first studio album, we naturally talked about those influences a lot and have loved bringing these familiar sounds into our studio sessions and onto this record,’ Brian said of their new track.
Their fans on social media are loving it and have been praising the lads for their inventive style.
‘My favourite man driving my dream car… love the video. Obsessed with the song and now obsessed with the video. So proud of you both xx,’ one fan wrote.
‘It’s amazing the effects everything well done lads,’ another commented.
While a third gushed, ‘I am obsessed! The visuals are amazing.’
Boyzlife’s second album is due out in the spring of 2022.
