PETALING JAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took a break from their busy schedules for pastries and tea in the city.
In a post by His Majesty on Facebook, the King granted an audience to Anwar at Istana Negara before going for tea at a mall in Bukit Bintang.
His Majesty personally chauffeured Anwar to Pavilion Mall, where they had their royal afternoon tea session at the French bakery and patisserie, PAUL.
The post included photos of the King in a beige suit and Anwar clad in dark grey attire at the restaurant, accompanied by their entourage.
In Anwar’s Instagram post, he said he briefed the King on the Cabinet’s working papers.
After spending time for tea, Anwar and the King also witnessed a lion dance performance in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festival at the mall.
