Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump is on course to 'HUMILIATE' Nikki Haley on her home turf and says she has 'no idea what she's doing...but it's over'

Megyn Kelly on Wednesday said Nikki Haley should drop out of the Republican primary race, after she lost to Donald Trump by a wider margin than she hopedTrump won 54.3 percent of support: Haley had 43.3 percent - despite hoping to come within single digits of the former presidentHaley vowed to fight on to the next race, in her home state of South Carolina on February 24: Kelly condemned Haley for remaining in the contest

Megyn Kelly has predicted that Nikki Haley will be ‘humiliated’ by Donald Trump when her home state of South Carolina votes in their primary, saying she is baffled as to why Haley remains in the race.

Haley’s team was disappointed by the results in New Hampshire on Tuesday night, with Donald Trump performing better than expected and tightening his grip on the Republican party.

Trump won 54.3 percent of support: Haley had 43.3 percent – despite hoping to come within single digits of the former president.

Haley, 52, vowed to fight on to the next race, in her home state of South Carolina on February 24.

But Kelly condemned Haley for remaining in the contest, saying it was foolhardy and she would be hammered.

‘I don’t know what Nikki Haley is going to do,’ said Kelly. ‘I don’t know if she’s actually going to get out before she gets humiliated in her home state where he’s beating her by 30 points, or if she’s just going to kind of stick around kind of collecting random delegates.

‘I have no idea what she’s doing, but it’s over. She’s done. So we can pretend as long as she wants. He’s won.’

Haley on Tuesday remained defiant despite her loss, calling it a ‘great night.’

‘New Hampshire is first in the nation. It is not the last in the nation. This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go,’ she said.

Kelly said her speech was ridiculous.

‘She lost! She talking about this like, ‘Onward we go! Thank you so much! It’s on!’

‘It’s a double loss and she’s about to get crushed in South Carolina. There’s no path.

‘I’m all for a one-on-one race for the Republican nomination. Trump’s definitely got his fair share of baggage and then some that Republicans should be considering in deciding who to nominate, but the other one needs to be someone who Republicans like. And for whatever reason, the way this campaign has come down, they don’t like Nikki Haley anymore.’

Kelly said Haley had ‘alienated that MAGA base’, and done well with independents – but predicted the independents will swing behind Trump, seeing his criminal trials as a political persecution.

‘I am just not convinced that when push comes to shove, these valuable independents – who he does need – are going to be so horrified at a ‘conviction’ because I think the truth about Jack Smith, already about Fani Willis, never mind Alvin Bragg is going to come out. It’s coming out,’ she said.

Trump himself on Tuesday night was vicious about Haley, demanding she drop out of the race.

He needs to stop campaigning so he can focus on his legal battles.

He went after Haley’s positive spin, saying she can’t ‘get away with bulls***.’

He added: ‘Let’s not have somebody take a victory when she had a very bad night. She had a very bad night.’

Haley’s campaign described the speech as a ‘temper tantrum.’

‘Last night, Donald Trump reminded voters that they have a choice between two diametrically opposed visions: Make America Unhinged Again or Make America Normal Again,’ Haley spokesperson Nachama Soloveichik said.

‘Like Joe Biden, Trump is completely consumed by his own perpetual drama and grievances,’ she continued.

‘Americans want a leader who will focus on securing the border, stopping China, and combating the inflation that both Trump and Biden caused — not social media meltdowns.’
