vladimir putin 'alarmed' after ukrainian diplomat hints at next military move

Sergiy Kyslytsya, permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, provided a hint on the Ukrainan’s military strategy against Russia

Vladimir Putin is in a state of alarm as a top Ukrainian diplomat gave a significant clue about Kyiv’s next major attack against Putin’s forces, sparking fear in the Kremlin.

Putin and his military leaders seem increasingly certain that they are gaining the upper hand in the war in Ukraine. During the winter, the Russians regained control of the battlefield and achieved several tactical victories.

The Kremlin’s forces are on the move, pushing westwards from Avdiivka in the Donbas towards Kramatorsk. Intense fighting is taking place around Chasiv Yar, a strategically important city that Volodymyr Zelensky’s troops are desperately trying to hold onto.

The Russians are capitalizing on the political disputes among Kyiv’s Western allies that has delayed the delivery of urgently needed weapons and ammunition, giving them a massive advantage, reports the Express.

In some areas of the front, Ukraine’s soldiers find themselves outgunned ten-to-one and outnumbered seven-to-one by their Russian adversaries. However, Kyiv’s luck may be about to turn, after the US Congress finally approved a $61 billion military aid package.

ATACMS ballistic missiles with a range of up to 186 miles are thought to be included in the new aid agreement. These US-made missiles will enable Ukraine’s army to strike targets deep within Russia, and there is one target in particular that seems to be enticing Zelensky’s generals.

In a telling social media post, Ukraine’s UN envoy Sergiy Kyslytsya hinted at the fate awaiting Putin’s strategic structures. Kyslytsya’s post outlined six “types” of bridges, with five depicted through diagrams. Notably, the sixth, the Kerch bridge linking occupied Crimea to Russia, was represented by a stark empty space.

Commissioned by Putin in 2016 and completed by 2018, the Kerch Bridge is a 11-mile lifeline connecting Crimea to the Russian mainland. Essential for supplying Putin’s forces in Crimea and other Russian-held areas, the bridge suffered significant damage from a Ukrainian drone attack in October 2022.
