Besides Akshay Kumar, many other actors are expected to join the cast.

The anticipation for the upcoming Telugu film Kannappa is huge and the film is one of the most awaited releases of 2024. Directed by Mukesh Kumar, it stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role and actor Akshay Kumar plays an important role in the film.

The film marks the Telugu debut of Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu took to social media to share his experience of working with Akshay Kumar for the film. The Bollywood actor has likely completed shooting for his roles in the film. In a photo showing him with Akshay Kumar, Vishnu Manchu wrote, “What a shoot it has been with @akshaykumar. Learnt. Laughed. And now I am missing the action. I look forward to many more. #Kannappa”.

Vishnu Manchu also shared a video on Instagram capturing the first moment of the two meeting when Akshay Kumar joined the film sets and worked behind the scenes. Vishnu Manchu shared the video and called it an “unforgettable adventure”.

Besides Akshay Kumar, many other actors are expected to join the cast of the film in special roles. Reportedly, the film will feature Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannah Bhatia, Kangana Ranaut and Nayanthara among others. The film will also mark the debut of Vishnu Manchu’s son, Avram Manchu, who is five years old.

The film is based on the historical story of Lord Shiva devotee Kannappa, who went from being an atheist and powerful warrior to an ardent devotee of Shiva.

Besides, Prabhas had fixed the dates for the film in mid-April and pushed them to the first week of May. Prabhas did not turn up and the team scheduled Akshay Kumar’s episodes. Prabhas has not fixed new dates for Kannappa yet.

While Akshay Kumar essays the role of Lord Shiva, Prabhas will be seen as Nandeeshwarudu in Kannappa. Prabhas has three days to shoot for his role in Kannappa. Mohanlal, Shivaraj Kumar, Nayanthara, Kriti Sanon, R Sarathkumar and Brahmanandam will be seen in other prominent roles in this devotional film. Mukesh Kumar Singh is the director and 24 Frames Factory is the producer.
