Vijay Deverakonda had pinned all his hopes on The Family Star, but the film received an underwhelming response at the box office and poor reviews from critics. After The Family Star debacle, the actor who turns 35 today (May 9), is gearing up for Dil Raju’s SVC 59, an action-packed film set in rural India. The pan-India film will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola who has previously helmed Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru.
On Vijay’s birthday, the makers dropped an intriguing teaser poster of the film, on social media. The striking poster shows Vijay holding a sharp weapon amidst blood splatter. The artwork also has the line, “Khanjar main.. khoon mera.. jung mere hi saath,’ written on it. Vijay’s fans are excited and eagerly awaiting for more updates from the makers. The film is backed by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations.
“The blood on his hands is not of their death, but of his own Rebirth.” #SVC59 @TheDeverakonda @SVC_official #DilRaju garu, #Shirish garu #HBDTheVijayDeverakonda,” Ravi captioned the post on X (formerly Twitter).
Sharing the poster, film critic and trade analyst, wrote, “VIJAY DEVERAKONDA TO STAR IN DIL RAJU’S PAN-INDIA FILM… On #VijayDevarakonda’s birthday today, here comes a new film announcement. #VijayDevarakonda will collaborate once again with #DilRaju… The PAN-India film – a rural action-drama directed by #RaviKiranKola – is produced by Raju and Shirish. #SVC59”
While details about the film’s female lead and other supporting cast are still under wraps, there is a heightened curiosity among Vijay’s fans.
A while ago, director Ravi shared a photograph with Vjay and Dil on his X account to share an important update about the film. “It’s time for our Vicious Dynamite to be lit. It’s time now, to make our vision a reality. @TheDevarakonda Let’s wreck havoc, you and I. @SVC_official #DilRaju garu #Sirish garu. #SVC59. Together we WILL deliver a promising film. See you on 9th.
