Vietnam closely follows East Sea developments

Vietnamese functional agencies have closely watched developments in the East Sea, spokeswoman for the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang told reporters on Wednesday.

Answering questions about the information that a group of Chinese ships entering Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone, the spokeswoman said Vietnam requests countries to abide by the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and other international laws in their activities and contribute to peace, stability, and cooperation in the East Sea.
