A mouthwatering knockout clash between Nigeria and Cameroon takes place at the Africa Cup of Nations today.
The Super Eagles are out to avoid the same fate they suffered at AFCON two years ago, when a promising group stage was cast aside by a hugely disappointing performance as they departed in the last-16.
In fact, it was Cameroon who they beat at this stage in the 2019 Cup of Nations.
The Indomitable Lions are out to gain revenge for the heartbreak of that second-half comeback.
But it was a far-from easy run through the groups for Rigobert Song’s side, as they relied on late drama against Gambia to qualify amid intense speculation over their off-field issues and the status of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
