No one knew for sure what had happened to Trinity, a Pitbull rescued from a fighting ring; or, how long she’d been suffering.

At only two years old, her body already told a sad story of long-term abuse. She had old scars as well as newer, infected wounds on her legs and chest. The skin on her face was torn and swollen.

Veterinarians who examined and treated her felt that her wounds matched those seen in the blood sport of dogfighting.

Trinity’s Journey to Healing

Trinity’s scars tell the story of her past life, a past where she was made to fight other dogs.
