Victoria adds 19 virus venues to exposure list including shopping centre, medical clinic

There have been 19 new exposure sites listed in Victoria overnight as the state continues to track down the movements of residents infected with Covid-19.

The virus venues are in Cragieburn, Taylors Lakes, Hillside, North Melbourne, Burnside, Reservoir, Thornbury, Thomastown, Docklands, and Taylors Hill.

There is one Tier 1 exposure site, which means anyone who has visited at the listed time must immediately isolate, get a Covid-19 test, and quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure.

The Tier 1 venue is Summer Hill Shopping Village – Summerhill Medical Centre in Reservoir on June 5 between 8.45am and 10.30am.

There were also 18 Tier 2 exposure sites added late on Friday, including two Coles Express locations.

Anyone who visited the following sites should urgently get a test and isolate until they receive a negative result.

  • BURNSIDE: Angry Beans Cafe at Burnside Hub Shopping Centre on May 21 between 9.40am and 9.45am
  • BURNSIDE: Thio Eyecare Shop at Burnside Hub Shopping Centre on May 21 between 9.40am and 10.15am
  • BURNSIDE: Chemist Warehouse at Burnside Hub Shopping Centre on May 21 between 9.30am and 9.40am
  • THORNBURY: Souvlaki GR on June 7 between 8.14pm and 8.54pm

There are 130 exposure sites across the state, with Victorians urged to regularly check the Department of Health website to check if there are any that they have visited.

Victoria enjoyed its second day out of strict lockdown on Saturday, but there are still many restrictions in place in the state as authorities work to suppress the latest outbreak.

Residents in metropolitan Melbourne must not have visitors to their homes.

They cannot travel more than 25km from their homes except for work, care, study or to travel to their nearest vaccination centre.

Face masks are mandatory indoors and outdoors.

Social gatherings are permitted outdoors with up to 10 people, and restaurants, bars, shops and beauty services are open with density limits in place.
