No 10.º lugar da Premier League, a cinco pontos dos lugares europeus e elogiado em Inglaterra. Assim vão os dias do Fulham de Marco Silva, que venceu três dos últimos quatros jogos (exceção ao 4-3 na casa do Liverpool) e em todos eles marcou, pelo menos, três golos, uma sequência que os “Cottagers” não alcançavam desde 1961.

Frente a Wolverhampton, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest e West Ham, os comandados do técnico português assinaram 16 golos, sendo que 10 foram marcados nos últimos dois jogos, uma marca inédita do Fulham na Premier League.

Para Lineker, a chave está na linha ofensiva «muito interessante», entregue, sobretudo, a Iwobi, Andreas Pereira, Willian e ao ex-Benfica Jiménez. «Mas, claro, o treinador [Marco Silva] também merece crédito”, acrescentou, abrindo jogo para o argumento de Micah Richards.

E porque não há dois sem três, o antigo avançado Alan Shearer também tinha um elogio guardado para um dos portugueses do Fulham: «Há que destacar Palhinha, a boa forma que tem apresentado depois da deceção que deve ter sido falhar a transferência para o Bayern Munique. Foi soberbo vê-lo jogar neste último jogo [frente ao West Ham, partida na qual fez uma assistência]».

No ataque do Fulham há outros nomes sonantes, como Adama Traoré ou Carlos Vinícius, que também marcou no triunfo sobre o West Ham.

A equipa de Marco Silva visita no sábado o Newcastle, 7.º classificado da Liga, depois de os “Magpies” jogarem uma cartada decisiva na Liga dos Campeões, na receção ao AC Milan.
