Van Sickle's career game leads Petro Gazz past Chery Tiggo

MANILA, Philippines — Petro Gazz leaned on Brooke Van Sickle’s career-high 36 points to subdue Chery Tiggo in five sets, 22-25, 25-12, 25-18, 27-29, 15-12, and inch closer to a bronze medal finish in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, May 9.
Van Sickle’s career game was built on 31 attacks, four blocks, and an ace. She also displayed her floor defense with 10 excellent receptions.
Jonah Sabete added 21 markers while MJ Philipps made 15 points for the Angels.
Chery Tiggo, on the other hand, was led by Eya Laure who finished with a double-double performance of 23 points, and 11 excellent receptions.
Ara Galang and Mylene Paat chipped in 11 and nine points, respectively.
Petro Gazz took advantage of the 30 errors made by Chery Tiggo, while the Angels only had 19 in the entire game.
