Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy says the Liberals winning the Dunkley by-election would be a “huge result” for Opposition Leader Peter Dutton.
Liberals winning Dunkley would be a ‘huge result’ for Peter Dutton
Mr Conroy said especially coming off the “disaster” of the 2022 Aston By-Election.
The former Labor senator said Mr Dutton is “rolling forward” in the polls.
“If I was Peter Dutton I’d have a pretty spring in my step right now,” Mr Conroy told Sky News Australia.
“He’s come from behind, he’s heading to the finish line, he’s possibly narrowly ahead.”
