US Navy’s return to PNG ‘signals growing dominance’ of China
Sky News contributor Kosha Gada says the US Navy’s return to Papua New Guinea “signals the growing dominance and influence” of China.
Ms Gada said the move appears to be a “preventative” measure.
“That makes sense as China grows, but I think the overall backdrop is the US is weaker,” she told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“The leadership doesn’t exactly come across strongly right now, and it’s getting stretched too thin with its involvements in different parts of the world.

“So, that’s something that worries people, but for now at least, it’s one step towards a deterrence.”
