Uruguay sumó su segunda goleada consecutiva al derrotar el martes 3-0 a Venezuela y dio un paso significativo hacia el hexagonal final del Campeonato Sudamericano Sub20 que se disputa en Colombia.
En el estadio Deportivo Cali, la “Celeste”, que venía de superar por idéntico resultado a Chile en el debut, volvió a dar una exhibición de juego ofensivo, la cual comenzó a certificar a los 24 minutos. Un saque largo del arquero Lucas Rodríguez habilitó al delantero Luciano Rodríguez, quien aprovechó el choque de los centrales de Venezuela Rafael Uzcátegui y Renné Rivas para abrir el marcador sin oposición.
