Uruguay golea a Venezuela y acaricia clasificación en sub20

BOGOTÁ — 

Uruguay sumó su segunda goleada consecutiva al derrotar el martes 3-0 a Venezuela y dio un paso significativo hacia el hexagonal final del Campeonato Sudamericano Sub20 que se disputa en Colombia.

En el estadio Deportivo Cali, la “Celeste”, que venía de superar por idéntico resultado a Chile en el debut, volvió a dar una exhibición de juego ofensivo, la cual comenzó a certificar a los 24 minutos. Un saque largo del arquero Lucas Rodríguez habilitó al delantero Luciano Rodríguez, quien aprovechó el choque de los centrales de Venezuela Rafael Uzcátegui y Renné Rivas para abrir el marcador sin oposición.

Uruguay amplió la ventaja a los 42, con una rápida acción de Renzo Sánchez, que luego de un desborde por la banda derecha habilitó con un pase atrás al volante Fabricio Díaz, quien se incorporó al ataque para anotar.

    Venezuela, que en su estreno cayó ante Bolivia, apeló al juego brusco para intentar equilibrar el trámite y terminó la primera parte con 11 infracciones y dos amonestaciones.

    Al comienzo del segundo tiempo, la “Vinotinto” recibió otro duro golpe cuando el atacante Kevin Kelsy vio la tarjeta roja y se convirtió en el primer expulsado del certamen luego de 11 partidos.

    Con la ventaja numérica, Uruguay controló el duelo y aseguró el triunfo a los 65 con el doblete de Luciano Rodríguez, que marcó su tercer tanto del campeonato con un tiro rasante y ajustado desde la frontal del área.

    Rodríguez, traspasado en diciembre de Progreso a Liverpool en su país, fue la figura en la primera presentación de los “charrúas” como extremo derecho, mientras esta vez destacó con su velocidad y potencia como delantero centro.

    Uruguay llegó a seis puntos y quedó en la primera posición del Grupo B del Sudamericano Sub20, mientras Venezuela, con dos derrotas y sin goles anotados, quedó en el sótano de la clasificación.
