Ukraine will become a member of the European Union within 10-20 years after the war, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with students.
According to the president, it’s not wise to speculate about the future. However, there are already clear indications of what will happen to Ukraine after the war.
“There are things that are clear, and I am 100% sure that it will be so. A country in the EU, I strongly believe, also a NATO country. I think we will push for that. I am confident that many countries, not the entire world, but undoubtedly many countries will participate in rebuilding Ukraine,” the president said.
It’s worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian officials have repeatedly emphasized the need to defeat Russia under Putin’s leadership in order to stop its aggression.
In particular, Zelenskyy has stressed that if Ukraine does not defeat Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Moldova could be next.
At the same time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba recently emphasized that Western allies are not asking Ukraine to negotiate with Russia for a ceasefire.
